C.L.A.Y. ON-SITE YOUTH PRACTICES
All practices are held at MILO-LIMITLESS FITNESS
C.L.A.Y. CLASSES
The C.L.A.Y. CLASS is at heart of the Coalition for Launching Active Youth’s 18-year long-term movement development program.
We teach children how to become holistically elite-level athletes using a fun, energetic and engaging, but systematic and age-appropriate method. We combine the applicable physical, psychological and sociological aspects of athleticism to help create truly well-rounded athletes at each stage of their development.
Your young athletes will learn about winning and losing. They will learn and do individuality and camaraderie drills and assignments. We will teach them skipping and Olympic lifting and everything between.
This comprehensive class meets for 1 hour 30 minutes once per week. Cost is $150 monthly.
C.L.A.Y. OBSTACLE COURSES
Athletes will be challenged each month with a skill-appropriate obstacle course that covers: OBJECT CONTROL … LOCOMOTION … AGILITY, BALANCE, COORDINATION and SPEED … FUNDAMENTAL STABILITY … FUNCTIONAL STRENGTH.
The obstacles include everything from sprints and flipping tires to throwing and kicking balls to net climbs and “military” crawls.
The obstacles within each course make up the exercises the athletes learn throughout the month. Athletes receive points for obstacle course performances each month. Practicing the exercises each week, and gaining more efficiency in maneuvering through the course, will improve athleticism. There will be monthly, semester and full-term (both semesters) awards.
This class meets for 1 hour 15 minutes twice a week. Cost is $250 monthly.
C.L.A.Y. SPEED, AGILITY & QUICKNESS
Is your young athlete consistently the last one to get picked for a team or the first one to get “picked on” in Dodgeball? Does your young athlete want to be better at Animals on the Loose, Tag, Four Square and Stick Ball? What about just running faster, jumping higher and moving with more competence and confidence; could your young athlete use that?
We teach fundamental movement and fundamental sports skills that matter in this class.
Footwork. Jumping. Dexterity. Kinesthetic and Vestibular Awareness. Athletic Decision Making. Effort, Conviction and Poise in movement. Those are the pillars of this program. We will cover them with a multitude of skills and drills every practice.
This class meets for 1 hour 15 minutes twice a week. Cost is $250 monthly.
